We are pleased to offer several Secondary Service & Custom Cut options to help you in your design process.
Secondary Services
Secondary services such as splitting in half, quarter notching, electrical outlet routing, and hanger bolt installation are available on the majority of our columns, legs, and bun feet.
Modifying existing products and components is often less expensive than full customization. With dozens of options for custom cuts and secondary services, we can help you create designs that work for your project.

Please note that custom cut products are not returnable.

Secondary Services: Posts, Columns & Table Legs
Secondary services & custom cuts are available for the majority of our posts, columns, & table legs. Please customization options below. Please note that custom cut products are not returnable.
Quarter Cut
Looking to create a pie shaped piece to fit into a 90-degree corner? Quarter notching creates a single quartered piece and a single 3/4 piece with 90-degree angles. Both pieces are included. No order form required.
Pricing starts at $50 per column.
Split in Half
Split a column in half. 1/8″ of thickness may be lost due to saw kerf. Both halves are included. No order form required.
Pricing starts at $20 per column.
Angle Cut
Product is cut at an angle from corner to corner, full length only. Both pieces are included. No order form required.
Pricing starts at $25 per column.
Stop Notch
Looking to wrap your column around your cabinetry? Achieve a seamless wrap by stop notching a column. Let us know how far down you would like notched. No order form required.
Pricing starts at $75 per column.
Box Route
Add an electrical box to your column. Order form required.
Pricing starts at $100 per column.
Electrical Bore
Add a 1/2″ hole the entire length of the column for electrical wiring. No order form required.
Pricing starts at $225 per column.
Chamfer Route
Add a chamfer route to corners of columns. Order form required.
Pricing starts at $16/side per column.
Shaker Window Route
Add shaker window(s) to columns. Order form required.
Pricing starts at $19/route per column.
Cut to Length
Create the perfect fit by cutting down any column, post, or leg. Let us know how much to trim. No order form required.
Pricing starts at $25 per column.

Pin Route
Create pin route(s) on the side of columns. Order form & pricing provided with custom quote.
Reveal
Create reveal(s) on columns. Order form & pricing provided with custom quote.
Secondary Services: Bun Feet
Split or add a hanger bolt to the majority of our bun feet. Please note that custom cut products are not returnable.
Split Bun Feet
Split a bun foot in half. Both pieces are included. No order form required.
Pricing starts at $10 per bun foot.
Hanger Bolt
Insert a 5/16-18″ hanger bolt in one end. Hanger bolt installed to protrude 1/2″. No order form required.
Pricing starts at $10 per bun foot.

Insert
Add a 5/16″ EZ Lock insert for hardwood installed on one end. No order form required. Pricing starts at $10 per bun foot.
Dowel Screw
Add a 5/16-18″ wood dowel screw on one end. Dowel screw installed to protrude 1″. No order form required. Pricing starts at $10 per bun foot.

Mouldings
Trim 96″L Mouldings to a reduced length of 92”L to reduce shipping surcharges. No order form required.
Mouldings are often trimmed to 92″ to reduce shipping surcharges. Mouldings shipped at 96″L will incur $150 shipping surcharges. Mouldings trimmed to 92″ are not returnable.

Tambour
Trim 96″L Tambour to a reduced length of 92″L to reduce shipping charges. No order form required.
Tambour shipped at 96″L will incur $150 shipping surcharges. Tambour panels trimmed to 92″L are not returnable.

Columns
Create the perfect fit by cutting down any column, post, or leg. Let us know how much to trim. No order form required.

Secondary Services: Cut-to-Size Materials
Cut-to-Size means that we will cut panels to your specifications so they are ready to install on-site upon delivery. Since Decorative Grille & Mesh panels are not welded, it can be extremely difficult and dangerous to work with on-site. Our Cut-to-Size program reduces the chances of ruining expensive product on the job site.
Cut-to-Size Materials include our line of USA-made Decorative Grilles & Mesh, as well as Italian Mesh, Leather, Resin, & Rattan. To order Cut-to-Size Panels, you will need to fill out a Cut-to-Size Materials Order Form. Once complete, please email the form to orders@brownwoodinc.com. Once we receive your Order Form, pricing will be provided based on how many square feet of material is used in your project.

Cut-to-Size Decorative Grilles & Mesh
Order pre-cut panels that are ready to install upon delivery. Decorative Grilles & Mesh can be difficult to work with on-site as Decorative Grille wires are not welded and extremely sharp.
To order Cut-to-Size Panels, you will need to fill out a Cut-to-Size Materials Order Form. We will provide pricing based on how many square feet of material is used in your project.
Cut-to-Size Rattan Panels
Soaking, stretching, and trimming Rattan can be a tedious process. By taking advantage of our Cut-to-Size Program, Rattan panels are ready to install upon delivery without the need to soak and stretch on-site.
On-site trimming may be required. Cut-to-Size Materials Order Form required. Pricing provided based on how many square feet of material is used in your project.
Cut-to-Size Resin & Leather Panels
Pre-cut Resin & Leather panels are priced by the sheet or half sheet. Send us a completed Cut-to-Size Order Form and pricing will be provided based on how many sheets are used in your project.
